Individual reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to 6.00 p.m. on the day before arrival. Rooms that are cancelled after this time and that can no longer be filled will be charged for.
In the event of late arrival, we will hold your booking until your arrival. Please note that if you have made a guaranteed reservation, we will charge you for one night’s accommodation if you fail to show up.
For bookings of our advance booking rate, a payment link will be sent to you after booking. Please note that once payment has been made, the stay cannot be cancelled or changed. If you do not agree with this, do not make the payment with the link.
You must notify us of the final number of rooms required by no later than 14 days before the arrival of the first guest. We will accept individual cancellations after this date if made 24 hours before arrival. If the entire group or a large portion of the group cancels after this time, we reserve the right to charge for any rooms that can no longer be filled.
Please provide us with a written list of the guests’ names as soon as possible and no later than five days before arrival. Please also note that we cannot accept mail or messages for group members if we do not know their names.

Unless otherwise agreed, the following cancellation conditions apply to group bookings and a prepayment of 100% is due until 7 days before arrival.

These General Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between you in your capacity as customer and the Engimatt City & Garden Hotel. Our confirmation/the offer confirmed by you serves as the basis for the agreement.
Option dates (offers, order confirmations, etc.) are binding on both parties. The Engimatt City & Garden Hotel may automatically make use of the reserved premises/rooms again following the expiry of the option period.
The event holder must inform the hotel of the final number of participants (guaranteed number) no later than three working days before the date of the event. If no changes are notified by three working days before the event, the number of participants as stipulated in the confirmation will apply. In the event of a reduction in numbers, regardless of timing, the hotel may invoice the event holder for the difference between the actual and the confirmed participant number on a 100% basis.

Cancellations due to Covid-19
Our General Terms and Conditions also apply in this case. Only in the event that the Federal Council or the cantonal authorities impose restrictions that make it impossible to hold an event (i.e. lockdown, company closures, event prohibitions) can the GTC be waived.

Cancellation terms for the entire group: free of charge up to three weeks before the arrival of the first guest. We will charge the following if the entire group cancels after this time:
We will of course attempt to fill the cancelled rooms and will only charge you if this does not prove possible. You must notify us of the final number of rooms required by no later than 14 days before the arrival of the first guest. Invoices will be sent to private residencies and companies located within Switzerland only. Companies located outside of Switzerland or private parties living abroad, will have to pay a full deposit in advance, as well as share a credit card for guarantee purposes. Any and all extra charges have to be paid, in full, prior to departure.
We reserve the right to send deposit invoices for events with a certain order total even for companies and private parties located within Switzerland.
The customer is liable to the Engimatt City & Garden Hotel for any damage or losses caused by it or its agents or participants without the hotel being required to provide evidence of fault. The hotel rejects any liability for the theft of or damage to equipment provided by the customer, event holder, participants, speakers or third parties.
The event holder may have single cardboard boxes, paper and a small amount of leftover workshop material disposed of by the hotel after the event. If large quantities require disposal, the hotel reserves the right to charge a disposal fee.
These Terms and Conditions form an integral part of our final confirmation. The place of performance and jurisdiction for both parties is Zurich, Switzerland.
