The Museum Rietberg, the art museum for non-European cultures, is located in one of Zurich’s most beautiful parks: the Rieterpark. On an area of around 67,000 square metres, it houses magnificent villas, lush gardens and a lookout point with a breathtaking view over Lake Zurich and, depending on the weather, the Alps.
For art lovers
The Museum Rietberg consists of five separate buildings and is the only art museum for non-European cultures in Switzerland. It boasts an internationally renowned, ever-changing collection of works from Asia, Africa, America and Oceania – a highlight for art lovers.
Entertainment for the whole family
The enormous park is a popular destination for the whole family. Numerous benches, play and sunbathing areas, as well as two playgrounds and a sledding slope provide ample opportunity for exercise and relaxation all year round. There are also regular exciting workshops for children or the whole family. Villa Wesendonck has public bathrooms and a café that serves snacks.
