200 works in one exhibition. To mark the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's death, the Lichthalle MAAG is honouring arguably the most influential and popular artist of the 20th century with an immersive exhibition. "Imagine Picasso" takes visitors on a journey through the works of Pablo Picasso.
Conceived by Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron, the pioneers of immersive art, the exhibition presents more than 200 of Picasso's paintings, which are being shown together for the first time. The immersive staging offers a unique insight into the work of one of the most productive and creative geniuses of all time, from the Blue and Pink periods to his masterpieces of Cubism and Surrealism.
Thanks to Image Totale©, the original concept of immersive exhibitions, visitors can immerse themselves in Picasso's creative universe in an unprecedented way, exploring the details of the paintings and experiencing the impressive power of Picasso's work. The paintings are projected onto giant origami elements, walls and the floor.
After great success in Lyon, Quebec, Vancouver, Atlanta, San Francisco, Madrid and São Paulo, the exhibition is finally coming to Switzerland.
